This UFO necklace features a brass hand-stamped alien charm and suspends from an 18” gold-plated chain.
Anyone who has ever gazed longingly into the dark sky, searching for a spaceship and thinking, “I will literally pay you to abduct me” will understand the value of this subtle necklace. It is a beacon of hope for all the nerdy dreamers that someday they will come for you.
Falling just below the collarbones, this necklace is a versatile addition to your collection. I love to layer mine above longer necklaces and it looks great with virtually any neckline.
Your flying saucer arrives on a witty handmade card that will bring any earthling a smile. A complimentary hand-stamped box is available upon request for effortless gift giving.
Your alien charm jewelry begins as a piece of sheet metal that is cut in my studio to roughly the size of a dime. Next it is stamped by hand with a fun outer space UFO design and last it is finished with a patina and polish.
When the quality jeweler’s brass is shined thoroughly it takes on the appearance of gold but is much more affordable. Your terrestrial necklace is sealed with a lacquer that prevents tarnishing. To keep it looking out of this world, avoid submerging your necklace and an occasional wipe with a polishing pad will make it so happy.

Your jewelry is finished with a water proof sealant before it ships. Over time the sealant may wear off and need additional polishing/resealing. Some ways to keep your jewelry looking sparkly and new include:
-Do not store your jewelry in a humid area such as a bathroom
-If you live in a humid climate consider storing your jewelry in an enclosed case, bag, or box to preserve the shine
-Avoid water, hand sanitizer, and chemicals as much as possible
-You can polish your jewelry easily with a polishing pad (available as an add-on) to make it look new again or if you are in a bind ketchup is commonly used. Just submerge your jewelry and buff off.
-A common home remedy to lacquer jewelry is clear nail polish

For sizing your fingers I definitely recommend consulting a local jeweler or purchasing a cheap ring sizer online. If you are unable to size your fingers as mentioned here are some other considerations:
The most common sizes I sell are
6 (slightly smaller than average)
8 (slightly larger than average)
If your fingers are very thin your size may run from 4-5
If your fingers are larger you may consider a 9-10
For men's sizing you can typically add two sizes.
You can also cut off the sticky part of a post-it note and wrap around your finger, marking where the ends meet. Measuring the post-it note in mm and converting (or messaging me) should give you a pretty accurate size.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Standard packaging for rings include a plastic capsule filled with styrofoam confetti in a hand-printed bubble mailer.
Standard packaging for necklaces include a hand stamped card-stock tag in a clear plastic protective sleeve that is shipped in a hand-printed bubble mailer.
Also available upon request (in your order notes) are hand stamped gift boxes.
For bridal parties or events feel free to message me about custom packaging for your order.
Will brass turn my fingers green?
There are many factors that affect metal such as hormones, sodium levels, and personal allergies. For that reason I can not confidently say that the brass will not turn your finger green. With that being said, it is more common that people have no reaction for the following reasons.
Brass does contain a small amount of nickel (which turns your fingers green). While I am heating the metal a lot of the nickel comes to the surface and is removed in the polishing phase. Additionally your jewelry is sealed with a water-proof wax that serves as a barrier from your skin and protects the shine of your piece.
If you are concerned about an allergy to brass you may consider sterling silver which very rarely causes a reaction.

I adore my tiny ufo necklace :) the package came with multiple little surprises, including a free ring due to the covid related shipping delays. Caitlin is super helpful and responsive and I will definitely be ordering from her again :)

Absolutely love the UFO necklace I ordered! It's for my friend for her birthday, and I know she's going to love it as much as I do. I might have to order one for myself later on.
